The size of an average bull, if not just a little bit bigger than one, Itegami is a white Ox with red markings on his body. Parts of his fur is in an elaborate sort of wing/brush design and he has a long tail. There is a ring through his nose, long blue horns, and he carries a serious look in his eyes. Around his neck and shoulders is a gourd shaped instrument that is held in a red linen sling. The gourd instrument also serves as his source of power and he blows into it to summon forth a blizzard or ice storm.

Stubborn as an Ox is probably one of the best way to describe Itegami.
And because of this stubborness there are times that, regardless of the fact that he may have people close to him that he considers friends and families, it feels, to him, that they just seem to fail to understand him. But that is all right because even if they don't he is still patient and caring with them.
The best thing about him though is that he's very responsible and loyal. He cares the most about his family and views them as one of his rights - of which he is very protective of. And the people of the world? He views as family since Amaterasu is so fiercly protective of them and cares deeply for these people. And if she cares about them? Then he cares as well.
However...the downfall to Itegami? Is that even though he is an observant person he isn't the most social and can be rather quiet when at a gathering of people. He's also a bit of a double edge sword with moods. While he appears to be a calm man? When he's angry he's impulsive and can go into a very scary rage. Property may be damaged and a few broken bones may be had.

strengths. Since he is the God of Blizzard, Itegami has the power to control and manipulate both ice and snow - both defensively and offensively. He does this by blowing into the instrument that he is always toting around and it creates a strong torrent of snow to fall from the sky and as it falls he then can either create a blizzard or an ice storm. Both of these abilities can freeze, or near-freeze, a person or object solid.
Also, while it can be a weakness, Itegami's stubborn attitude usually wins him many a fight - verbal or physical - because it takes a lot to wear him out. Not to mention he is persistent and sticks to the task he is given longer than anybody else ever could. But a good bonk on the head usually does the trick to get him out of the Pit of Stubborness. He also doesn't, and will never, regret the choices and decisions he makes, or will make, throughout his life. He's also intelligent, if not just a little bit lazy.

Because of it he is a hard-headed person and judges people who do not aspire to the same sort of ideals that he has. But he is also impulsive when angry and it's very easy to anger him (threaten his family/the other Gods and you've done the trick). And the short temper tied with that impulsive nature can only end badly because an Ox's rage is a very scary sort of thing to view or be the target of.
Itegami is also weak to fire and heat given the fact that he is the God of Blizzard and the cold is his speciality. A tiny little flame from a candle won't do much - those don't bother him too much. But a raging inferno? Oh, yeah, that will defeat the snow-oriented Ox in the blink of an eye.

There's not very much to go by or too much detail to give for Itegami's history since it's pretty straightforward.
Upon the defeat of Orochi and Shiranui's death, the power that the God had divided itself into seperate entities and these beings took to waiting for 100 years for their God's revival in the form of stars shaped as constellations. Itegami was sent to the far land of Kamui, a place covered in snow and ice and as each year passed he waited patiently and watched over the people of the land of Kamui. However, once Shiranui revived as Amaterasu and her journey began, the darkness of the land deepened and and grew.
Itegami was the last brush god that Amaterasu found - his power more or less being exploited by a machine that was sending never-ending snow over the already chilled lands of Kamui. When she free'd him and restored his power, they met he granted her the power of Blizzard - and by calling upon the rest of the Gods was able to bestow upon the Goddess her Solar Flare weapon.
In the final battle against Yami, the Gods were reduced back to their form as constellations but Amaterasu was able to regain their powers back during her fights and, inevitably, defeated him.
